Joanna Strub is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Certified Perinatal Mental Health Specialist with seventeen years of licensure and work experience. She has spent the majority of her career in a hospital setting and has a deep admiration for healthcare workers, patients, and their families faced with medical and mental health adversities. Prior to going into private practice, Joanna worked at a local OB outpatient clinic providing therapy to pregnant and postpartum people faced with perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, grief and loss, and various psychosocial stressors/needs. Previously, Joanna also worked in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at a large pediatric hospital in Colorado.
Perinatal Mental Health
As a perinatal mental health therapist, Joanna works with people before, during, and after pregnancy related to anxiety and depression, miscarriage and infant loss, infertility, birth trauma, NICU hospitalizations, and other stressors related to the reproductive and perinatal period. Using an evidence based clinical approach and with extensive training and professional expertise, Joanna provides a compassionate, non-judgmental, and safe space in normalizing the complexities and hardships within this time period.
